5 Years!

Happy 5 year anniversary to my hubby.  This handsom groom.

Here are some pictures of the day.  (I didn't have a lot saved on this computer.)

Releasing the doves after the wedding ceremony.  This was a gift from my grandma Dufel.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Willms 5 years ago.

It's crazy to think 11 years ago it all started with me chasing after Kevin with my girlfriends.  Kevin really had no clue to what was going on. :)  I guess the rest is history.  I definitely feel God has truly brought me my "other half".  Together we're a great fit!  He's an amazing husband, my best friend, and now such a great dad to our twins.  I can't wait to see what's planned for us in the next 5 years!

Happy 1st Father's Day Papa Kev!

Happy 1st Father's Day to our wonderful dad!  Here is a list of things Kate and Matt love about their dad:
* He likes to make up songs using our names in the lyrics
* We love it when he sings to us, "Party in the U.S.A." by Miley Cryus
* He's an expert at preparing the perfect bath temperature!
* Awesome diaper changer ;)
* He teaches us cool, random facts for our family quiz bowl
* He has the magic touch at keeping us asleep when laying me down at night
* We love riding around the house with him in the Baby Bjorn
* Matt loves checking out the basement with daddy - so called doing "guy things"
* We absolutely love falling asleep on his chest
* He always makes us smile with his funny faces and voices
* Our dance parties
* Piggy back rides
* Cuddle time!!!

Piggy back time!

Us and our papa

Sleeping on daddy
Unfortunately, Kevin had to fly out on Father's Day to Florida for work so we decided to celebrate our Father's Day on Saturday.  We were planning on grilling on Saturday but the rainy day stopped those plans.  I decided to make Kevin my home-made pizza instead.

Personalized pizza!

We spent the day cuddling while watching golf...daddy was cheering for Rory McIlroy!

Aunt Jenny came up on Saturday night to spend the week with the twins and help while Kevin is gone.  Sunday morning I also made Kevin a Father's Day breakfast of french toast - a favorite of his.  Then the 5 of us loaded up and took Kevin to the airport.

Happy Father's Day picture with dad first.

Getting some good-bye kisses from Dad.

bye daddy

The kids are wearing shirts for Dad.....Daddy's #1 Fan and Daddy's Tough Guy

Since the Mall of America is so close to the airport Jen and I decided to go.  We had fun shopping the summer deals and...

people watching. ;)

Aunt Jenny and Mommy stopped at Noodles & Company for lunch.  Kate was being a bit fussy so Aunt Jenny was nice and held her for awhile.

We had a great time and many mall shoppers stopped to enjoy our twin babies.  Hopefully next Father's Day Kevin won't have to be gone.  We love you Daddy!

Also, I wanted to say Happy Father's Day to my dad and Kevin's dad!  We wish we could have been with both of you to celebrate your day.

Happy Father's Day Grandpa Larrys!

The Many Faces of Matthew

This morning I tried to take some pictures of Matthew, but our little boy is quite the wiggler!  We have nicknamed him Mr. Wiggles because of this.  He is our mover, especially when he gets excited and the smiles start coming.  When he smiles his arms start going and legs start kicking!  Many of his pictures ended up with goofy Matt faces because he would move before I could quick snap his smiles.  The ones I got with a smile ended up blurry.  I guess you get what you can get when taking babies' pictures.

We love Matt's dimples.

I LOVE to move my arms around!

He has the biggest smiles and his whole face lights up.

Sticking out my tongue!

So excited!

I look like my sister, Kate, in this one!

What a little cutie!

and...now I'm asleep, Mom!

Seeing Great Faces and Fun Places

Yesterday, the twins, my friend Lindsay, and I had a great day venturing out of the house.  Our first trip was to the hospital unit where I stayed on bed rest.  My home away from home. :)  I wanted to visit with my nurse friends and show them Katherine and Matthew.

Nurses Julie and Maureen - two awesome ladies I had as my regular nurses.  If they were working they were usually my nurses!  I enjoyed our wonderful talks.  Many times I would ask, "Julie, I'm bored...can you play a game with me?  Oh wait, I forgot, you have to work."  Or I loved it when Maureen would take her break and eat her lunch or supper in my room.  It was so nice to have conversation during a meal.

Connie - she was a blast.  We had a lot of fun laughing while she was trying to monitor Baby A's and B's heartbeats.  Laughing only makes it harder for her to monitor.  For some reason the twins loved to move around when it was her turn to monitor.  Baby boy, or "Flash Special Forces" as we called him, was always hiding or wiggling away.

Julie, Krista, and Sue - another great group of nurses who helped make my stay a fun one. Krista was in charge of weighing me every week. The dreaded weigh in Monday!

I had so much fun visiting my friends. These ladies are an amazing group of women and nurses. The staff at United really helped to make my long stay as wonderful and positive as possible. Every day I looked forward to our conversations and joking around. We had some great times!! Kevin and I would agree we couldn't have asked for a better group of ladies to care for me and the babies. I miss seeing you ladies everyday, but I definitely don't miss lying in bed. I liked seeing the nurses as visitor in regular clothes who could walk around. :)

Next the four of us went to the Mall of America because I had some items to exchange and shop for.  I decided not to bring my double stroller and rent a cart/stroller at MOA.  Big Mistake!  Caring in the car seats from the parking ramp to guest services and back was quite the haul.  Next time the stroller will be a much easier task.

Little Miss Kate the shopping Diva!

Mr. Matt shopping with the ladies. What a lucky guy!
Mommy and Lindsay might of had too much fun.

We stopped for lunch at the food court and feed Kate and Matt.  We're getting pretty good feeding babies where ever.

Shopping with these ladies wears me out!

Finding good deals can really tire a shopper out!

Literally the twins have "shopped to you drop!"  Such sleeping babies!
